My name is Kyle, and when I was in the Marine Corps my wife was nearly abducted right after we PCS’d to a new duty station. It was a terrifying event that could have shattered our lives.
After taking ownership of my oversights, I saw how broken the PCS process can be: isolating, career-disrupting for spouses, and tough on kids losing friends. But the fix? It’s in our military community – the community you are moving from is the same one you are moving to – you just haven’t connected yet.
